Best iPhone Apps for Calorie Counting

Reviews

Who’d have thought that apps are now helping women and men get in the best shape of their lives as opposed to weight loss supplements which can cost an arm and a leg. That’s not to say fat or carb blocking pills serve a purpose – they do, but what calorie counting apps most crucially achieve is that they install an immediate sense of get up and go in a person. “Hey, I just got a new iPhone and I downloaded this free calorie counter so I’m going to test how many I burn on my run later!” Seriously, this is the new age where Smartphone’s and tablets are making people achieve goals they believed they could – and the following weight loss apps are a part of this dieting revolution. Best iPhone Apps for Calorie CountingPrice: Free This app is specifically designed for counting your calories – there are probably just a handful of free apps to match this. Firstly, the list of foods to evaluate how many calories are present is gigantic. With 400’000 different types of foods to pick from, of which three quarters of those have been included by users – and the number grows daily – you also get a built in barcode scanner which are normally only included in paid apps. The display is also very lucid and simple to navigate with. Say it’s supper time and you want to do some research, you can search for foods or scan a barcode if you’re out shopping to see if it includes no more calories than you want to consume. You can also pick dish from the favorites menu, create a custom meal or even your own recipe. You can now track your diet like an athlete, watching how many calories you consume or burn, if you’re putting on or losing weight, check that you’ve drank enough water or that your nutrient graph is on track. The list is thorough and complete. Reviews are 1st class.   Calorie Counter by Fat Secret
Best iPhone Apps for Calorie CountingPrice: Free This is another free app which kind of provides the same info as Calorie Counter above but in a more simplistic display. On just one display once you’ve input what foods you’ll be eating each day of the week, a bit time consuming for sure, but now you have that set up it will list the amount of calories you’ll be consuming daily - or you can choose from one of the apps diet plans. In the column next to that you’ll see the amount of calories you’ll burn if you follow one of their workouts. From this you can determine the net amount of calories lost each day. Simples! You can also scan barcodes with this app and choose from a host of recipes and ideas for low calorie healthy dishes. A great app to keep a journal of your overall calorie intake.
