Just got the latest iPad and want to add a ton of apps to start playing games but don’t want to start dishing out cash just yet as you know iPad apps on the whole are more expensive than iPhone or iPod touch apps.
Well, check out the latest free iPad apps below that might take your fancy.
Four in a Row
Price: Free
Four in a row, or connect four as it’s known, from easy to expert levels you have to drop your colored disc into the rack, and try and create a line of four either horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
This game must have been around for decades and doesn’t get old – especially with its new retina funky iPad interface.
Gets great rep and real fun for playing with your kids.
Checkers
Price: Free
Checkers or draughts as it’s known in the UK, is one of those pass the time games – not incredibly stimulating but fun all the same.
With this revamped iPad game with its uncluttered and distinctly avant-garde look, you get 5 levels of difficulty, optional settings for moves and time limits and other features.
Oh, there is a premium version but unless you’re mental for checkers than the free app offers more than enough.
Bubble Ball
Price: Free
So the aim of this free iPad game is to get the bubble to the goal using your physics skills – well sort of.
Affected by gravity, the wood pieces are pulled and the metal objects stay where you put them.
There are over 90 variations of levels to this app to spice things up a bit plus you don’t have to keep starting from the 1st level every time you mess up.
You can chop and change so as to challenge your ingenuity skills.
Gets good reviews.
Unblock Me
Price: Free
Well this type of app could keep you occupied for sometime as you try and negotiate the shapes around the red block you are trying to free.
From more than 4000+ different puzzles this is another way to challenge your logical thinking which through time – apparently as user’s state – gets better.
There are 4 different levels from which you can play in relaxed or challenged mode.
For a free app, the amount of free puzzles you get is enormous so definitely worth a shot.
Sprinkle Free
Price: Free
With only a certain amount of water to put out some life threatening fires, mounted on a crane, you must apply your physics knowledge to use the water cannon most effectively.
There are additional traps and wheels you can use to put out the flames, and earn points in the process.
Based on the moon Titan, Earthlings crashed their party and have ever since been causing havoc on this peaceful planet.
With a wonderfully fun interface this mind puzzler is fit for all ages.
One Touch Drawing
Price: Free
Particularly popular in South East Asia, this app is for 6 years and up but bear in mind this app can get very technical and challenging so don’t be swayed by the fact that youngsters can use it.
The idea of the game is that once you’ve touched the screen, you can’t draw the same line twice whilst not removing your finger.
Stages such as one directional lines or warp point or direction trigger make each level more difficult.
If you don’t fully get what this game is about by what you’ve just read you are not alone!
This app really needs downloading and exploring so you get the full idea.
From 120+ levels, with survival mode being the most challenging this will keep you more than pre-occupied.
