There is an obvious different in the quality of a each fitness app for iPhone found in the App Store, especially when it comes to fitness tracker apps that are aimed at providing users with a way of tracking their efforts.

I’m thoroughly impressed with what I’ve seen so far in this fitness app, and would definitely say that this is one of the higher-quality apps of its kind that I’ve come across. I don’t own a Polar Beat device, but I kind of wish I did now! Check out our Polar Beat app review for more details.

When you first start using Polar Beat - Sports & Fitness Coach, you’ll be prompted to create a user account. If you’re new to Polar Beat and you don’t currently own the heart rate sensor, I would recommend skipping registration initially so that you can check out the various features first.

Either way, part of the setup process involves inputting your specific information, including things such as your Sex, Weight, Height, and Date of Birth. This enables the app to more effectively provide you with accurate feedback on the data you input.

Once you’re all set up, you can start to track your workouts, beginning by specifying your Target and choice of exercise. Targets include things such as Distance and Duration, and you can also choose Free Training in order to simply bust your butt and let the chips fall where they may.

There are also loads of exercises to choose from, including everything from Running to Rowing to Cycling to Cross-Country Skiing. Within this list you’ll also be able to see which exercises support GPS and a stride sensor.

When you’re ready to start training, hit Start and you’ll be able to see all the different metrics that will be measured, including things such as distance, calories, pace, heart rate, and much more.

You’ll be pleased to know that you can also share your workouts with your friends and family online via Facebook and Twitter.
