Gett (previously GetTaxi) app review: order a classy ride to your door with a simple tap

Introduction

Whether you need a black cab to whisk you around Olde London Town, or you’re looking for a good old yellow taxi to show you the sights in the Big Apple, this awesome iPhone and iPad app is sure to provide everything you need to order the ride you want with just a few simple taps.

I absolutely love the idea of being able to order a taxi to your home or location from your iPhone or iPad, and the developers have definitely done a great job of piecing together a dedicated service that you guys can use in numerous major cities around the world.

So as you can see, the coverage isn’t fully worldwide just yet but we are expecting the developer to continue to add new destinations to the app as popularity and the user base grows.

One very cool feature of this app enables you to track the progress of your ride in real time on a map while it’s on its way to you. You can also access the details of your driver, including his photograph and current distance from you.

In terms of pricing, the developer has included the following note on the iTunes description page:

They also state that the pricing in general is very reasonable, so that you can enjoy the luxury and comfort of a black car service while only paying a little bit more than you could for a yellow cab.

This is a fantastic app overall, and although I haven’t had a chance to use the actual service itself, the quality of the app and the stylish way in which the whole package is presented definitely fills me with a lot of confidence.
