Movie Clock App Review

Movie Clock is an app created by Mediaspree LLC. The app costs $0.99 on iTunes and is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch, and the iPad, it requires iOS 4.3 or later to work. This app is for you movie buffs who want to keep up on the lasted new blockbuster hits coming to theaters, potential movies you may be interested in if you can find the time, or anything in between. The app has four categories to categories to search movies through, “Coming Soon” and “In Theaters”. When you click into the “Coming Soon” section, you are give a list of movies that will be coming to theaters in the future- obviously. When you select one of the movies you are interested in seeing, it will give you a countdown until the release dates, an option to set a reminder when the movie is released in addition to tweeting about the movie and getting more information on the movie. When you set check that you would like a reminder set for a particular movie, it will be added to the, “My Reminders” category at the bottom of the screen. If you click “Movie Info” you are brought to a page that will give the movie rating, release date, the main stars of the fill, the director as well as a brief synopsis of the story line. You can even select “More” and be brought to a page that will allow you to search for tickets and theaters for the film. There is also an option to “Check In” via Twitter and Facebook.
When you go to the “In Theaters” tab at the bottom, you will be provided with a list of movies that are currently in theaters, when you select the one you would like to see, you can find theaters near you, look for tickets and get a synopsis of what the movie is about. Lastly there is a settings tab where you can decide if you would like to connect to Twitter or Facebook, Rate the app, show an automatic check in, and set reminder alert times. Personally, I find this to be an incredibly helpful app. It gives users a way to organize their movie schedule that is informative and efficient. If you are an indecisive person (like I am) this is a great way to easily view all of your movie options and see, quickly and effortlessly, which movies are out and what you would like to see.
