Introduction

A house is not complete without a bathroom, and everyone has their own preferences when it comes to bathing and other personal duties. Some people like a big shower, while others prefer a relaxing bath. Some people want a bathroom for two while others prefer a simple bathroom that serves one person at a time. Developer Objectified Applications decided to jump into this market with an app that is basically a collection of photos of all different kinds of bathrooms. Bathroom designs claims to be the largest collection of bathrooms in the App Store and I have trouble proving them wrong.

The app simply delivers exactly what it promises. There are so many bathrooms in this app that you can spend days just browsing them and looking at all the pictures. Not all photos are in the same size and quality, and I will explain why later in the next paragraph, but most photos are sharp enough to see what exactly is going on. It feels like the developer has hired someone to look at every photo and select only the most beautiful, clean and well-designed bathrooms.

App Design and Layout

The app has a fantastic design and a few options available. The opening page of the app is simply a mosaic with all the photos listed in a huge grid. Here you can scroll and scan over them until you see one you like and tap on it. You will now just have this picture in a larger size on your screen. From this page you can simply swipe between the different photos and look at them one at a time. Here you can save your favorite bathrooms to a list. You can also share the photos via Facebook or email, just to let everyone know you love this particular bathroom. The question is, how did they get all these pictures? Well, the answer is simple. You can submit a photo of your own bathroom to the developer to be included in the next update!

If you’re in the market for a new bathroom, download this app now. It’s a great reference to take with you to the store and point out what you would like your bathroom to look like. I think the app is a great idea and is designed well. The app is designed to work with both iPad and iPhone and is just over 30 MB in size. I can only ask the developer to think about branching out, as I can see a great interior design app working really well. For one, I am looking forward to Livingroom Design and Kitchen Design, if they include it in this app or make it separately.
