Introduction

Right now you can take advantage of a free offer to download the Muslim Kids Series app for your iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. This app takes kids through all the basics of learning the Arabic alphabet. The app takes a light and fun approach so kids want to learn and don't ever feel discouraged. What's great is that this app can even be used by adults and you can learn with your kids at the same time. The app uses simple touch functionality so even young kids can enjoy it and learn from it.

A Light and Fun Approach

As noted this app takes a light and fun approach to learning the Arabic alphabet. Just because kids are learning something they'll use the rest of their lives doesn't mean it can't be presented in an engaging and light way. The app introduces kids to each letter by audio and illustration so they will learn not just how it looks but how it sounds as well. They will then write the letter with their finger as practice.

This app just had a recent update where the background sound and image has been fixed so if you experienced this issue in the past it has now been addressed. The app racks in some pretty impressive customer ratings, which is no doubt due to the entertaining approach the app takes.

Learning the Alphabet

As someone who doesn't know a single thing about Arabic I find the app to be very light, fun, and informative. I find the approach to be great and it's one that makes you want to come back and continue to learn. When you launch the app you have the option to “Learn” or “Write." Both sections are equally as important to work your way through. In one you are learning to recognize the letter while in the other you are able to listen to the sound it makes and draw it yourself. As mentioned earlier when you are drawing the character you just use your finger to trace the outline. This makes it kid-friendly.

What’s really cool is that at any time in the Learn section you can tap on the menu and pick any letter to learn about. This allows parents to choose which areas they want children to focus on. Perhaps there are a few letters in particular their child is having problems with so you can highlight those ones.
