Verse-A-Day:Daily Bible Verses is packaged in a beautiful looking interface. When you first open up this app, the loading screen is an ethereal blue cross on a black background, giving it an almost spiritual feel. The verse of the day then appears in white text over this image.

Viewing commentary is as easy as tapping on the Show Commentary icon at the bottom. Settings can be changed on the bottom left, where you can make two in-app purchases: Remove Ads and Bookmark Verses. Don't need reminders to read your daily verse? You can turn it off. Furthermore, the timing of the reminder can also be adjusted from here.

Easy To Use

You may also make changes to background transparency and font size from the Settings menu and decide which translation you would like to receive. The translations available are NET (New English Translation), NIV (New International Version), NKJV (New King James Version), NLT (New Living Translation), and KJV (King James Version).

If one of the verses touches your heart, as it is bound to, you may feel the urge to share it with your friends and family. The bottom right of the screen is the sharing toolbar, where you can e-mail the verse, share it on Facebook, or simply share via SMS directly from your phone.

In case you forget to share your verse and the next day rolls around, no need to worry: Verse-A-Day lets you scroll back through the past seven days' verses so you don't have to miss out on any text that resonates with you.
