The best iPhone apps for anatomy

I’m really loving looking at anatomy apps recently, and the iPad display does an awesome job of providing a hands-on look at some of the more intricate systems and structures of the human body.

This app contains a ton of utterly fascinating content, and the developer has done a fantastic job of compiling all of the information and graphical content in a way that is easily navigable and thoroughly enjoyable to use.

There are more than 700 labels pinned to various parts of the body that provide detailed notes and descriptions, as well as audio pronunciations of the terminology so that you don’t make a fool of yourself like I usually do when trying to talk about this stuff!

As for the brain itself, you can access tri-planar multiple slices of the grey matter to take a detailed look at the inner workings for a better understanding. There are also some very interesting animations detailing things like neurotransmission and neuronal synaptic function.
