This is a simple yet wonderfully educational game for iPhone and iPad that has you solving a basic puzzle before identifying the name of the inventor before you and then answering a question about what they are famous for having invented.

I think that this is a very good idea for a game although I would tend to look at it more as a nice little educational piece than a super fun and engaging gaming experience. The puzzles are very simple and should each take only 20-30 seconds to complete, so I personally don’t see much in the way of replay value.

If you’re looking for an entertaining way of learning about new inventors with the added challenge of Game Center achievements, then this is well worth checking out, but otherwise I’d recommend just looking on Wikipedia for the information.

Identify and Learn About Inventors

Know It All - Inventors and Inventions is a very simple concept for an app, requiring that you complete a puzzle by shifting the tiles around to reveal the face of a famous, or not so famous inventor. From here, you’ll be asked to identify who it is who appears before you.

Once you’ve successfully identified the inventor you’ll then be asked to name what it is they are famous for inventing, so for example, Alexander Graham Bell is one such inventor who is well-known for having invented the telephone.

There are 20 inventors to identify, with each one comprising of three elements. You are awarded a score out of three based on whether or not you answered the questions correctly on your first attempt, and you can see how well you are performing in the Progress section.

You’ll also be pleased to know that this game offers full Game Center support, with various achievements unlockable by performing certain tasks. You can also use Game Center to compare your scores with those of your friends, so this is a good way of seeing who is more knowledgeable!
