The most awesome feature of this news app is the split-screen method of delivering news stories. Some pieces, which have both video and textual coverage, are presented in such a way that the user can not only view the video, but also read the news story alongside it. Auto-Downloading

Just like most of the good news apps in the App Store, the NBC News app allows for viewing articles even if you do not have an Internet connection. Unlike other apps, however, you don't have to download the content onto your phone; the app does it automatically.

Some may see this as a drawback because it can take up a whole lot of space on your mobile device which you may not be willing to assign to news stories that you may not be interested in, but these can be easily deleted if necessary.

The only minor complaint I have about this app is that you can never determine if the story I'm about to click on is a text article (my personal preferred format) or a huge video that will use up all my data! Perhaps the next update could include a little tag that displays whether the news story is a video, article, or both.
