Pedi STAT app review: rapid reference for RNs, paramedics, physicians, and other pediatric healthcare professionals

Reviews

Introduction

This is a highly effective iPhone and iPad app that has been designed to act as a quick and easy point of reference for RNs, paramedics, physicians, and other pediatric healthcare professionals so that care can be administered promptly and appropriately.

The best iPhone apps for nurses

I can imagine this app coming in very handy for a lot of medical professionals in the line of pediatric care because oftentimes a minimum of information is provided about the patient. With Pedi STAT to hand, you’ve got an immediate reference for all manner of medication dosages and other interventions right at your fingertips.

The interface for this app has also been designed very nicely in line with the overarching iOS 7 visual themes, so that definitely makes things run a little more smoothly as you can easily navigate. I’m very impressed with Pedi STAT and would definitely give it a strong recommendation.

The information for airway interventions includes guidelines for endotracheal tube sizes, depth, intubation medication dosages, ventilator settings, and sedation. The cardio resuscitation is aimed more towards providing weight-specific dosages for resuscitation medications, cardioversion, and defibrillation.

This should help you to more effectively make quick decisions if the worst should happen and you need to perform some form of intervention on the spot.
