If you’re looking for a way of getting to sleep easier each night or you’re just hoping to bring a little more Zen into your life then you’ll definitely want to check out this wonderful collection of relaxing ambient sounds for your iPhone and iPad.
The best sleeping aid apps for iPadBack in October last year I reviewed an app entitled iHome Sleep by the same developer as this one, and I’m just as impressed now as I was back then. iHome Zen is a great addition to the series, and one that I think really serves to provide a whole new variety of sounds for you to enjoy.
iHome Zen is a great app featuring a wonderful collection of relaxing ambient sounds which have all been sourced from original field recordings and generated tracks to ensure you get not just high-quality, but also unique sounds.
The best sleeping aid apps for iPadThis is good to know because I can’t help but feel that a lot of the low-end apps in this category simply reuse many of the same stock audio clips over and over again, while simple repacking them in a different order and interface style.
The professionalism certainly doesn’t stop at the audio content, with the interface also being very nicely designed to make it super easy to navigate and use the various features. This is definitely a must for any apps associated with bedtime, if you ask me!
Best iphone and ipad appsThere is also a handy sleep timer feature which, as you might expect, enables you to set the Zen sounds to stop after a certain time, ensuring you’re already well on your way to a deep, peaceful night’s sleep.
What’s more, background audio support means that you can still listen to the audio with the app minimized and your device locked.
Pros
Cons
I’ve never really been a frequent user of iPhone and iPad apps like iHome Zen but it only takes a couple of minutes of listening to the audio before I feel my eyes starting to get a little heavy and my work focus to wane; probably not the best combination when I’ve got a bunch more writing to do!
