My Medications app review: developed by the American Medical Association

Reviews

Introduction

If you’re the kind of person who has a large number of different medications to keep track of then you might like to consider this handy iPhone and iPad app which enables you to keep an ongoing concise record of all dosages and the frequency with which you take your meds.

The best counselling apps for the iPhone

This app is a reasonably decent tool for those of you who take a lot of different drugs, and you should have no problem getting to grips with the various features within a couple of minutes of using it as everything is laid out very clearly and plainly.

Bear in mind that this app has been designed solely for patients, so I wouldn’t recommend this app to medical professionals who want to keep a record of their own patients.

Easily Track Your Medications

My Medications has been developed by the American Medical Association to provide you with a one-stop utility for recording any and all medications you’re currently taking, including the dosages and frequency with which they are taken.

The best first aid apps for iPhone and iPad

This app includes a fairly large database of generic and brand name drugs that you can browse through to save yourself from having to input your own medications manually. You can also store details of any immunizations you’ve had for an even more thorough medical record.

Monitor Your Allergies and Immunizations

I really like the Allergy section of this app as it enables you to record what the allergen is, which symptoms you’ve experienced, and any additional notes that you might want to add. This should be very useful for identifying triggers so that you can hopefully prevent them in future.

What’s more, you’ll be pleased to know that you can also share any of your medical information with your family or healthcare provider online via email, so this is a great way of keeping your doctor up to date with any medications you’re currently taking.

Final Words

My Medications isn’t the most advanced iPad and iPhone app of its kind but I do like the simplicity of the development as a whole because I think it lends itself quite nicely to the target audience.

At just $0.99 you really can’t go too far astray with this app so I’d say it’s well worth taking a look at if you’re in the market for a tool to track your medications.
