For just under $3, you get your hands on probably one of the best voice recording apps right now on iTunes. Scanning through its spec, probably its best features include absolutely unlimited file size storage, a direct upload button to Dropbox which avoids going through iTunes, and the ability to send a voice recording file as an email. You can choose and configure your desired sound quality, export and import files either through Internet or USB (.wav only), and share audio files using either SoundCloud, iCloud, or Dropbox. There do seem to be a couple of issues with it though, which should be addressed in upcoming updates. These include it simply not working when you hit record. Even though the app pulsates on the interface to demonstrate it’s recording, once you hit stop, you find that nothing has happened. You should receive immediate support if this is the case, especially as it’s not a free app. The second is that some files will not upload for some reason or the other. Again, their support desk should tackle this. Otherwise, since its release in 2012 it averages around 3.5 out of 5 star user ratings of more than 200 reviews. There are plenty more additional features as well, like if you were to have an incoming call while recording you can restart where you left off without losing any material. You can tag voice memos in order to diarize them, configure the audio quality if you want to compress the size, and you may also opt out of HD and record in mono or stereo instead. If working 100%, this voice recording app should be perfect for the journalist or writer or someone who simply wants to take notes on the go.
