TopNotes Pro app review: manage your notes in a simple yet professional setup

Reviews

Introduction

Brainstorming, mindmapping, or just jotting down a few basic ideas: this iPad app is perfect for all of this plus a whole lot more! You’ll enjoy freehand writing and sketching, annotation, and notebooks to keep your work nice and organized.

The best accounting and bookkeeping apps for iPhone

Note taking and annotation apps are two a penny in the App Store, so it’s very refreshing to find one that firmly holds its own amidst the competition. This is definitely a high-quality development and I personally think it’s well worth every penny, so check it out and see what you think!

TopNotes Pro - Take Notes, Annotate PDF & Sync Notebook with Dropbox has been designed to make it easier than ever to compile your thoughts and feelings in a simple yet effective manner, thanks in part to freehand writing and sketching features.

The best iPhone apps for task management

With this app you can very easily create everything from a basic letter of plain paper to a stylized flow diagram or mindmap with high-quality images, highlighted text, and handwritten notes of important points.

Import and Export Your Work via Dropbox

There are loads of digital pens, highlighter pens, and paper styles to choose from, so you’ll never be without some snazzy new design to incorporate into your next piece of writing, plus you can easily import images directly from your Camera Roll.

The best iPhone apps for note-taking

Unfortunately this app doesn’t offer full synchronization with Dropbox, but you can still import and export your files manually from within the app. This is a slightly more long-winded way of doing things but you can at least still get the job done.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Use shelves to manage your various notes and notebooks
  • Features a handy drag-and-drop control system for easy organization
  • Rearrange pages within a notebook or move them to different notebooks
  • Includes loads of digital pens and highlighter pens with full support for freehand writing and doodling
  • Choose from a variety of different paper styles
  • Import images directly from your Camera Roll
  • Enjoy a wrist feature to protect the specified area from careless editing
  • Includes read-only mode to prevent unwanted editing
  • Keep all of your notebooks safe and secure with passcode protection
  • Import and export your notebooks via Dropbox

Cons

  • There have been a couple of minor complaints from users on the iTunes description page, namely to do with missing features such as a cut function for moving images around a little more easily. These certainly aren’t deal breakers to my mind, so I would still recommend giving this app a shot
