SUPER WHY ABC Adventures app review: see all that the world has to offer while learning the alphabet

Reviews

Introduction

If you have a child between the age of three and six who enjoys watching SUPER WHY, the TV series by PBS Kids, then SUPER WHY ABC Adventures is a must-have app on your iPhone or iPad.

This app enables young children to learn how to read in a fun and engaging way that is bound to not only teach them to read but also love doing it. This app employs the use of five interactive literacy games, each with unique strategies and skills, to help your child become an expert at the alphabet.

The developers over at PBS Kids who designed this game have put a lot of thought and care into ensuring this game is fun, engaging, and educational to the child while giving parents the opportunity to track their children's progress. It is no wonder that this game has received the Parent's Choice Gold Award

Five Fun Games

With SUPER WHY ABC Adventures: Alphabet, your child will embark upon an adventure that takes him or her around the world in five unique games. Each of the five games is hosted by a sweet and sagely Super Reader, who will introduce different uppercase as well as lowercase letters and their names and their order. Common letter sounds will also be taught along with different ways to write letters.

The five games are as follows: Alpha Pig's Lickety Letter Safari, Princess presto's Under The Sea Sounds, Super Why's Z Marks The Spot, Wonder Red's Let's Letter Fly, and Woofster's Golder Letter Bones. Even the names got me excited about trying out this app!

The games are very engaging and entertaining. Alpha Pig's Lickety Letter Safari, for instance, takes the player on a safari through the jungle with the adorable Alpha Pig. The player identifies letters in the jungle and takes pictures of animals from A through Z as seen on the safari.

Princess Presto's Under The Sea Sounds lets your child explore the underwater world with Princess Presto, where each of the 26 letters must be matched with to their sounds to form words. As you can see, there is a lot of diversity in the games. Other game themes include treasure-hunting in Ancient Egypt, flying around the world, and exploring the Wild West.

There is also a Sticker Activity in this app where your child can use more than 400 earned souvenir stickers to decorate eight themed backgrounds in various parts of the world. These pictures can be saved on your iPhone or iPad and shared with family and friends.

Parents can put on one of the four ABC sing-along videos, each of which contains all the 26 letters in the alphabet. To see how your child is progressing through some of the games, the developers have incorporated a child progress tracker which will let you see scores for the Alpha Pig and Princess Presto games.
