I gotta say I am a coffee lover so finding that perfect cup of coffee can really start my day off great or just give me that rough start that I really don’t want to deal with. This is a fabulous way to discover coffee shops and cafes that are known for providing incredible tasting coffee. You can check out where others with the same passion as you are going, what the top coffee shops are, and add back to the community by sharing your own experience.

This app has recently been updated to address a number of bugs the app has been suffering from. Unfortunately there have been issues with the "Find Coffee Near Me" feature, which developers have claimed to have fixed now. As well the map now shows the same cafes as the list does. The app only has two out of five stars but I think some of this is because of the ratings customers were giving it before the update.

 

The User Experience

When you’re ready to find that perfect cup of coffee simply launch the app. It will use your current location to create a list of cafes and coffee shops nearby and plot them on a map. Not all cities are supported, it seems to be just the major ones. I find the content loads quite quickly and you are given a list of names, addresses, and a rating that customers have given it. You’ll notice each location gets a ranking, with the top ranked shop appearing first on the list. Tap on any location to read more about it, view its location on a map, read reviews, view pictures, plus load your own reviews and photos.

Overall I find the app is simple and informative however I think in order to get higher ratings from customers it also needs to support more cities/towns.

The Beanhunter app can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and is really meant for those with a love of coffee that want to discover a new location and see what others have to say.
