It doesn't matter if you're new to diving or a seasoned veteran, chances are you're always on the look-out for the best place to go diving. The World's Best Dives app can provide you with all kinds of information, which showcases some spectacular locations for diving. The diving app, which can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone takes into account that people like different types of dive locations for instance you may like diving in reefs, perhaps you enjoy exploring wrecks, or maybe it’s all about the marine life for you. There is a wide variety of dives featured so everyone will find that perfect option.
What this app strives to do is really open your eyes to the world of fabulous and spectacular dive sites so that you can experience them yourself. As mentioned there are different types of dives so that you can pick the ones you are comfortable with or broaden your interests and try something completely different. This app has been put together by Sport Diver magazine, which just so happens to be the official magazine of the PADI Diving Society. For this reason it brings with it respect throughout the diving community.
In the most recent update of the app there have been improvements made to the maps, the scrolling feature, and a new grid view that is used to view the variety of dive sites in a specified region. There is also a brand new interface in this version that comes with new controls. The app currently doesn't have a customer rating or customer comments.
Exploring the Features
Right away when you launch the app you can't help but be struck by the pure beauty of the shots on the main page. It just gives you a taste of the sites you'll be reading about. The main menu has been divided into categories to make finding dive sites easier. Explore sites in Africa, Australasia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, North America, South and East Asia, The Mediterranean, and the Middle East. This makes it convenient to find locations near you or in places you plan on visiting/vacationing.
When you tap on an area you are then taken to sub-categories that are divided into the type of dive you’re looking for, again helping you to narrow down the options. The app just keeps taking you to more specific information until you find that perfect location to dive.
