The developers claim that this app is a ‘game changer’ in the area of apps aimed at people looking for, well, shall we say casual encounters of hookups, hence the title of iHookUp.

Unfortunately, it appears as if many of the user accounts are actually fake, so there seems to be very little substance behind the claims.

This is a typical online dating app that claims to have been designed to help people meet singles online for casual encounters, online chatting, and so on, and while it does look good on the surface - what with its support for video content in profiles and chats - I really wouldn’t waste my time with if I were you.

Cons

• Unfortunately this appears to be yet another dud dating app, as one user has remarked: “DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP IT IS A SCAM!! You can never delete your account, only make it no visible and it is "archived" account to them. You get notified someone wants to "hookup" but when you go into the app there is absolutely no where too see who it was. The exact same search results display every single time, not that it matters since it is all fake anyway!!”
• Furthermore: “This app is a huge scam. Half the people on it are fake and i barely got feedback from others despite being an actual model with an 8.7 rating on the hot or not app... Its members are hardly active and closes itself every 2 mins. It charges you a dollar for 24 hours of just 3 people to actually interact with then it wants you to pay monthly... Yeah right... Obviously noone has perfected the hookup app just yet.”
