Pimp The Screen HD makes yet another sub-par addition to the Utilities category of the App Store, disappointing many of its users and making this one iPhone and iPad app that you’ll almost definitely want to avoid.

This app is designed to enable you to “pimp” your device’s display with an array of images and wallpapers, but the entire interface is jammed with bugs and pitfalls that make it a real nightmare to use.

It’s a shame that so many developments fall by the wayside, perhaps due to a lack of creative flair in its original inception or perhaps because of gradual neglect as the developer stops bothering to update it and fix bugs.

Either way, Pimp The Screen HD is definitely an example of this kind of waste-of-time app, so I would very much recommend giving it a miss and opting for one of the higher-quality developments in the Utilities or Social Networking categories.

• There really isn’t much I can say about the redeeming qualities of this app because it simply doesn’t deliver the goods, and is almost definitely not worth spending your money on

• This app has received little besides negative feedback from users on the iTunes description page, with one user remarking: “It tells you to save to your pictures and than open up you are supposed to move from photos to a wallpaper but it does not seem to save to photos to your pictures. Don't buy this app even if they give it to you free don't buy it.”
• The frustration of users continues with the following comment: “How could u ever make an app like this garbage! The free pimp your screen is much better and this is just junk..don't even bother to make it better its already done.”
• The general consensus definitely seems to be that this app is best avoided!

 

Final Words

Once an iPhone and iPad app like Pimp The Screen HD has gained such a negative reputation I really don’t see how the developer can redeem it, so I think it would be best for it to be removed from the App Store and started again from scratch.
