Introduction
Potty Training Story: Learning with the animals is an iPad and iPhone app designed to get little kids excited for using the potty. First there is a short story, then you take the animals to the potty, and finally you choose a boy or girl to take to the potty. Ideally after this your own child will want to try the potty!

Potty Learning Goes High Tech
Potty Training Story: Learning with the animals takes a hygiene skill to the next level with high-tech learning. All kids these days who have the opportunity love to play on their parent’s iPhone, tablet, or whatever they have been exposed to. They are little sponges, and love to emulate grown-ups. This app is designed to encourage that emulating, through allowing the child to try the iPhone, and then try the potty, just like Mommy/Daddy/big brother/big sister!

Why is this a tried and true approach? It’s easy! Toddlers are copy cats! It is why it is never too early to start potty learning. By first helping the animals use the potty, your child realizes that every creature uses the potty, albeit not necessarily a horse sitting on a toilet!

Story and Game
Potty Training Story: Learning with the animals is a story and game app. It does not have tracking like some other apps do, and to unlock all the animals you have to pay $1.99. This isn’t a lot, but there also isn’t a lot of gameplay. It your child is one that will happily play the same level 20 times, than maybe it’ll be worth it for you. Otherwise, stick to the free version.

There is no tracking or recording in this app. Many others include a chart of some sort to record successes and misses. This app does not have this feature.
The animals are cute, and each has its own scene from the chick, to the dog, the horse, the cat, and the lion. The chick uses the hen nest, the dog uses a potty, the horse the toilet, the cat the litter box, and the lion a tree stump. You know each needs to use the washroom because of the butterflies.

Final Thoughts
Potty Training Story: Learning with the animals is an iPad and iPhone app that encourages your child to potty learn through positive emulation. After assisting each of the animals to use the potty, your child chooses a boy or girl character and ideally then wants to try the potty on their own. Obviously this doesn’t always work, but sometimes it will. It is fairly expensive, and the free version is very limited. If you are willing to pay $1.99 to unlock all the animals, so be it, but there are better apps out there that include a story and a tracking option.
