Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Includes details of more than 900 galleries, museums, and more
  • Browse more than 4,000 roadside attractions, offbeat museums, and unnatural wonders
  • Also shows over 4,000 restaurants, cafes, and famous eateries from TV shows
  • Details of nearly 3,000 historical markers provide great insight into local and cultural history

Cons

  • This app has generally been quite well-received by users on the iTunes description page; however, the following user was clearly not happy with the thoroughness of the content: “Went on a road trip thru California, and for a thirteen hour drive was really disappointed with this app. Showed common restaurants (some random named ones we went to were closed) and several must sees were must don'ts. Had more laughs at what was really going to be there for the largest stuff/must sees. Not at all worth even a penny. Used other apps to find good eats that were actually open.”

Final Words

Based on the above complaint, Best Road Trip Ever! might not be as comprehensive as the developer claims, but it still boasts a huge wealth of content that should give you at least a few decent ideas while you’re fiddling on your iPhone and iPad at a gas stop somewhere.
