Blast-A-Way by Illusion Labs is a great physics puzzler game for young and old alike. In the app, you control three robots that use bombs to get to the exit. It’s not that simple, though: the bombs all have different properties, and bombs can only exert force on blocks of the same color. Bombs may pick up the block off which they bounce, blow up, or even teleport the robot to a block of the same color. You also have to save the baby robots that you will find in perilous circumstances in the boxes. This game is a lot like Portal, so players of that game will feel right at home. The app is truly 3D, and it was done exceedingly well. Levels are made of fabric, wood, stone, metal, and plastic. In addition to bombs, you also get rebuilders, portals, color gates, colorizers, teleporters, and more, that you will find in the different levels. Features of the game include five worlds made of different materials, 80 levels, Retina resolution, cool explosions, Game Center, great music, true 3D physicals you’ll need to figure out, and hours of fun. The app was updated to Version 1.1.0 on September 19, 2012, which optimized the game for iPhone 5 and allows for iCloud support for game progress. Blast-A-Way has 315 ratings over all versions that give it an average of 4.5 stars out of five, and 105 ratings for this newest version, with an average of five out of five stars. Customer feedback is exemplary. The app comes in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.
