The Dollar Origami app is quite simple; it takes you through the steps needed in order to create a number of cute shapes by folding your dollar bill in the correct ways. Of course if you don’t want to actually use a dollar bill to do the origami there’s nothing to stop you from using a piece of paper that is the same size and shape; this may be much less costly by the time you finish these projects! Some of the shapes you'll be able to create include a heart, bow tie, flower, and a shirt.

The app hasn't been updated in some time now and in its description it states that you'll want to act fast as it is being offered for free for a limited time. The pro upgrade of the app is priced at $0.99. Right now the app has a rather dismal customer rating of 2.5 out of five stars and I have to say that's being generous.

What to Expect

What can I even really say about this app, it’s very bare bones and basic and compared to a number of the other origami apps available this one falls short. I do appreciate that the user interface is clean and streamlined, however at the same time the ad banner at the bottom can get in the way as you are working on your projects.

Launch Dollar Origami to be taken to the main screen of the projects available. Beside each project is a photo and the number of steps the project requires. To move through the step-by-step instructions you just swipe the screen. There is a photo to accompany each step which is helpful however I find the quality of the photo to be quite poor and sometimes it’s hard to see exactly what you need to be doing thanks to the lack of detail in the picture.
