iWeather Pro app review: weather reports and more

Reviews

Introduction

I'm not sure about you but I seem to be on a constant hunt for the best, sleekest, and most helpful weather app out there and here's another one that can be added to the list. The iWeather Pro app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone may just become your all-around most favorite weather app. This offering can be used to get the forecast on a number of locations and will even display the current temp live on your device's home screen.

Features an Elegant User Interface

While weather apps can tend to look a bit busy and cluttered with all that information the iWeather Pro app take the approach of elegant, modern, and simple. I find that the user interface actually makes reading the weather easy because everything is so easy to use, find, and read. As mentioned you'll be able to view the weather on a number of locations and then track them when you mark them as favorites. You'll get all the basic weather details as well as the more in-depth information such as visibility, wind chill, humidity, and wind speed. As well you can choose how you wish to view your map there is the Satellite, Hybrid, and Standard options.

This app requires iOS 7.0 or later to use and its most recent update there were minor enhancements and improvements made. The radar now features layers to give you that extra detail such as temperature, clouds, and sea level pressure. The app doesn't have a customer rating as of yet and comments are generally positive.

Designed with Functionality in Mind

I find that this app was really designed with functionality in mind with plenty of focus on keeping it fast, simple, and fun to use. At the same time you’re getting all the weather details you need which can help you plan your day. The app uses gesture controls and offers animations and sound effects for the weather. This means you can swipe, drag and drop, pinch, and tap the screen to control the app. This makes the screen come alive and transforms a rather dull weather forecast into an engaging one.

The weather app is able to deliver you weather details based on your current location or you can search for one manually. View the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, there are no ads, and you can share weather alerts and live information through Airdrop, email, Twitter, and Facebook.
