Volleyball Stat! app review 2021

Introduction

Volleyball Stat tracker is the very first volleyball stats app I have ever reviewed, and I have to say I am very impressed.

The volleyball statistics app, developed for iPad only by developer Geoffrey Tywyll, is so in-depth that half of the things mentioned in the app mean nothing to me, but the amount of data that can be tracked and the options that the app offer are so in-depth that I have to give the developer credit.

This app is ideal for any volleyball coach or anyone who likes going to matches and collect stats for themselves. The app is easy to use and takes up little space. It's a great option for those wanting to know hot to keep volleyball stats or for those who need a volleyball stats tool. 

What it Offers

As mentioned in the opening paragraph, this app is a simple data tracker to be used in volleyball matches. As you can see on the screenshot, the app holds tons of different buttons for you to keep track of, and for each player on the field.

You will aggregate these statistics  by tapping the right button when it happens on the field, so to get the right stats out of the app you will need to be able to watch the match as well as press the right button, meaning you will need to be very versatile.

The assistant coach might be your best bet for this, as being a coach means that you need to keep an eye on your players at all time. After a match you can go to a stats summary screen where all the stats you've tracked will be visible in a breakdown per player.

App Design and Other Features

The app also features a score board and buttons to clear and undo any stats you’ve previously put in. Of course you can also export the stats via email, which is perfect if you need to send it to your team. The design of the app makes it really easy to use, but in my opinion it looks ugly.

The colors used are a little bit over the top and regrettably there is no way you can change these to customize the app’s appearance.

Conclusion

This app is a must-have for any serious volleyball coach. You can aggregate many statistics (over 70!) and you can review these stats after each match,  or even after a number of matches. The stats can be exported in different ways via email and you can store as many matches as you want.

The design is great, though the color scheme used by the developer is terrible and there is no way to change the appearance of the app. The app is designed for iPad only and is just over 6 MB.
