TinyHands Childrens Educational Lotto is a matching puzzle that allows your child to drag the matching card to the correct spot on the playing card. There are 10 categories, two of which are unlocked for the free trial. The two unlocked are clothes and shapes. My two-year-old immediately took to the game, and enjoyed that once you get close to the correct position, the matching card sticks to the playing card. This is a great feature for toddlers, because there are a lot of puzzle games that do not have this feature meaning that toddlers get frustrated when they can’t get the puzzle piece to stay in place.

I also liked that the items are so colorful. The bright colors are appealing to children, but also make the contrast greater so that children can see the objects more easily.

TinyHands Childrens Educational Lotto has lots of options. You can turn the excited frog on or off, change the language, turn the music on or off, and more. I appreciate that you can shut off the frog, because while my daughter enjoys his yip-yip, I do not! You do need the volume on for your child to hear the narrator speak the shape names.

Another thing I like about this game is that my toddler was able to navigate the game easily. Rather than exiting each category, you have the different categories on each side of the screen. All she had to do was tap on the other categories to move on.

This app has a sticky feature, which means that when the item card is in approximately the correct position, it sticks to the place that it matches on the playing card. This is advantageous because toddlers often get close to the right spot, and then miss because the piece moved. My daughter loved this feature because she could play independently. Overall, this app was great because she navigate independently, and could also get the puzzle pieces to say where she wanted them. This is a paid app, so you only get to try two categories before you must buy the app for $2.99. I am considering it though, because my daughter had so much fun.
