Sygic Europe app review: a well-designed GPS app

Reviews

Introduction

Sygic Europe: GPS Navigation is a fairly expensive yet well-designed GPS navigation system for your iPhone and iPad that should help you find your way throughout Europe whether you’re on the road or traveling by foot.

The best iPhone apps for navigation

This is a pretty decent app and a solid addition to the Navigation category of the App Store but if you’re considering using it for traveling by foot then you might want to check out the Pros & Cons section below as that seems to be one area where this app is arguably lacking.

Navigate Europe With Ease

This is a very high-tech app that utilizes your iOS device’s integrated GPS to help you navigate Europe as if you were equipped with your very own Tom Tom, and with its intuitive gesture-based drag-and-drop control system you can easily set and edit routes on the fly.

When you make a calculation for your next journey you’ll receive three routes, and looking at the maps in this app you’ll see that buildings and landscape features are displayed in 3D to make for easier navigation.

Spot Speed Limits and Traffic Cameras

With Sygic Europe: GPS Navigation on your iOS device you can enjoy the peace of mind that you are abiding by national road laws and that you are driving on the correct side of the road, plus you’ll also receive details of nearby speed limits and traffic cameras.

I do like this app but as I mentioned above, be aware that it might not be perfectly suited to those of you who want to hitchhike your way across Europe as some of the routes it recommends could be a little questionable.

Final Words

Sygic Europe: GPS Navigation has its flaws and is rather pricey so you might want to compare it with some comparable iPhone and iPad apps in the Travel and Navigation categories of the App Store before making your final purchase.
