WeatherLive Pro app review: overpriced
Introduction
WeatherLive Pro is a reasonably well-developed iPhone and iPad app covering the continental United States but it is very much overpriced so you might want to compare it with a few other weather apps before downloading it onto your device.
The best iPad apps for weather
I tend to find it a little irritating when I stumble upon an app that looks pretty decent and offers some reasonable functionality, but then disappoints majorly when it comes to the price.
To be honest, you might be better off just looking for a cheaper or free alternative in the Weather category of the App Store.
Weather for the USA
This is a relatively simple app that provides you with a weather map of the United States so that you can view the details of rainfall, storms and hurricanes, air pressure, warm fronts, and so on in a graphical format.

You’ll also be able to gauge a rough approximation of the temperature for different regions throughout the continental United States, and I would also recommend looking at the Warnings section to see if any severe weather conditions are expected in your local area.

Includes a Seperate Flooding Section
Speaking of severe weather conditions, WeatherLive Pro also includes a separate Flooding section so you can very quickly and easily see if floods are predicted locally.

Furthermore, you’ll also be able to see details of the Air Quality Index for your area, but that’s about where the features stop so again I would recommend comparing this app with a few others in the weather forecasting genre before making your final decision.
Pros & Cons
Pros
-
View a weather map of the United States
-
Includes details of rainfall, storms and hurricanes, air pressure, warm fronts, and so on
-
Easily view the temperature for all of the continental United States
-
Access the Warnings section to see if any severe weather conditions are expected in your local area
-
Includes a separate Flooding section so you can see if floods are predicted locally
-
Also includes details of the Air Quality Index
Cons
-
Considering how limited the scope of this app is I would really rather see it made available for $0.99 at the very most; $2.99 is far too expensive
Final Words
WeatherLive Pro isn’t the prettiest weather forecasting app for iPhone and iPad app I’ve ever seen, but it works fairly well; it’s just a shame that the price is a little too high.
