Cook app review: it's all about cooking and sharing

Reviews

Introduction

Part of the joy of cooking is sharing your tasty results with loved ones. The Cook app for your iPad allows you to create dishes, discover all-new recipes to try, and share your successes. This is an app that has been created for those with a love of food and who want to expand their current knowledge and help others do the same. This is your own personalized cookbook that you will populate with all the recipes you hold near and dear and then you can share it with your friends, other family members, and the whole world if you like.

Keep Your Recipes Close at Hand

There will be no such thing as that lost recipe that you wrote on an index card years ago, or the one you left at home and you're at the grocery store wondering what ingredients you need. This acts as a personalized cookbook that you get to carry around with you on your iPad. Of course the convenience of the Cook app is only part of its allure, the other part is all about the sharing capabilities this app offers users. You can share your special dishes and discover other people's favorites as well.

The recipe app is free to use and requires iOS 7.0 or later to use. In its most recent update more languages were added (Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese). There are also new books that you can find in the app's library which are Books for France and the Netherlands and Kids Recipe Collection. The app scores a solid 3.5 out of five stars from users but there are no customer comments at this time.

Features and Tools

The Cook app offers users a variety of fun tools and features. You can find your friends through the app so you can exchange recipes with them, and you can make new friends to do the same with. There is a library within the app that you can browse through and find new books from around the world. Of course you will be able to manually input all your cherished recipes so you can share them through email, Facebook, Twitter, the web, and iMessage. When it comes to your actual cookbook you can personalize it by adding a caption that gives people an idea about your cooking style, pick the color you want it to be, and even pick the font style.
