app review: encourage your child's inner artist
Introduction
We've got a cute little app that encourage your child's inner artist to be set free and really bloom. The handPaint app can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and allows users to paint in a digital way. Parents will love this no-mess approach to arts and crafts and kids will love that they can create a painting any time they like and wherever they are. They can be as free form as they like with their sketch book or they can outline a variety of shapes and create a really cool stencil effect.

Artwork on the Go
Because the handPaint app acts as a full art desk this is a wonderful way to take your entire art center with you on the go. It's a wonderful way to keep kids entertained while challenging their creativity. As mentioned, kids can choose to outline shapes/items or just create freehand, whatever they prefer. When they do make a little mistake here and there they can use the eraser to fix it up or just start a brand-new page. There are a variety of tools and features for kids to explore and all their work can be saved to the Camera Roll.

The app gets three out of five stars from users which still leaves room for improvement. Parents like the ease of use but it seems as though its feature list could use a bit more meat in it.
Different Tools Equals Unique Results
The handPaint app offers kids a wonderful opportunity to use different tools so they will see how they affect the results. There is a sketch pen which is perfect for a fountain pen outline, a neon marker to outline in some rather cool colors, a magic pencil with various results, and the magic brush that reveals the image on the page as kids "paint." It's this variety of tools that also makes the app so appealing and fun.
Best iphone and ipad appsI absolutely love the ease-of-use in this app, as it's simple enough for kids to use on their own and give them that sense of independence. It would be nice to see some additional features and the sketch pad appear a bit larger on the screen so kids can see details easier.

Final Thoughts
