Get an Inside Look

Where the Nutrition Journal for iPad really excels is in the fact that it can give you an inside look at what you are putting into your body. All too often we think we're making healthy and positive choices when in fact we're making the wrong ones. This app makes it possible to track your daily vitamin, macronutrient, and mineral intake. It supports more than 100,000 foods, breaking them down into more than 30 different nutrients. As you can tell there is no shortage of information here. What’s great about the database of food is the fact that it even includes restaurant food so just because you may be eating out doesn’t mean you can’t track your meal.

The app has just recently gone through a number of updates to ensure it remains compatible with iOS 7.0 and later. It scores very high with users, getting four out of five stars. Clearly it is proving its worth with customers.

Log, Track, and More

The Nutrition Journal for iPad makes it very easy for users to log and track all their meals. It's not just food you can also add in any supplements you take during the day so these nutritional values can be added to your log. Additionally after you log an item you can always delete or edit it. Go ahead and enter in the day's foods as you consume them or you can enter in items for upcoming days or previous days that you may have forgot to log. Of course what good is this information if you don't know what to make of it, which is why your log is compared to the Institute of Medicine's Dietary Reference Intake (RDA and AI) values for each mineral and nutrient.
