Miles Log App Review

Miles Log by FFWD is an app that allows you to log miles for a trip using your iPhone or iPod touch. You are able to add a trip to the log within seconds. Once the app is downloaded you are taken to a settings page where you are asked how you would like your miles measured (mi or km), how you would like the time formatted (24hr or 12hr), and in which language you would like it set. Then the app requires other information like who the driver is, who the car owner is, what the license plate is, and what the starting mileage is. It also requests your email address. Once all of these fields are saved you are brought back to the dashboard to enter your initial destination. On the dashboard there is a “+” button; when you click it, you can add a new destination. This will ask for the route destination, the address, the date for the travel, and then the actual mileage. It will also ask for your current location information. You will need to indicate if the trip is for work, business, or private. Once the info has been entered, it is added to your log. You can view your log from the dashboard by clicking the center button that has three horizontal lines. Lastly, on the dashboard there are three vertical lines of different sizes; this is where your data is analyzed and presented for your reference. The data can be broken down by the type of travel: for example, if you want to see your mileage for just your business travel, you can.
This information can be exported as a PDF to use for tax purposes, or for your expense reimbursement. This is a great app for the avid traveler or business person who is always on the road.
