Hyperlight by Alessandro Avigni has had its price dropped from $1.99 to $0.99 as of today. It’s a retro arcade-style shooting game.

The app has you acting as the last human fighter, armed with the Hyperlight you will use to destroy your enemies once and for all.

The controls of the game are easy and you can choose from among tilt and touch, tilt only, or touch only; it’s up to you. Use simple gestures to control it. You can go at regular speed or choose to use the FTL engine and move super quickly for attacks.

While the game is easy to learn, it’s hard to master and you’ll definitely find it a challenge. You’ll have to fight against hordes of enemies, which will attack you in different formations, using different strategies and even different dimensions.

Features of the game include fantastic graphics, decent music, awesome sound effects, and innovative gameplay. You can run it on any iOS device with the minimum requirements. The game has 40 different levels in Arcade mode or you can choose the Infinity mode and play endlessly.

The Hyperlight app was updated to Version 1.4.0 on January 17. 2013. The update made some optimizations and updated the Unity engine. The game has 16 ratings with an average of four out of five stars.
