Kno Textbooks by Kno Inc. is providing you with education on your iPad laced with plenty of interactive twists.

If you're looking for a more personal, engaging, and social approach to learning this is the app for you. Kno, Inc. is actually an education software company with the goal of providing you with the same textbooks, but with new interactive features that give you a different spin on education.

Use the advanced search tool to find the exact textbook you seek and find answers to your questions by searching through the content in Kno. Content includes 3D simulations and models, videos, and web links. The idea is that your books are brought to life within this app to help you learn.

Other features include the Kno Me tool which is your own personal study dashboard. From here you can track your learning so you can see just how well you're doing. You can also make use of the journal which is essentially your study guide that is made up of your bookmarks, notes, and highlights. You can even share your highlights and notes with classmates thanks to social sharing.

In order to help with the learning process that little bit more there are flashcards that are automatically created for the glossary of books. This is available for select books only.

Kno Textbooks was updated on Mar. 26, 2013 and currently has 28 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars.

I found this to be a very innovative and fun approach to learning that took material that could otherwise be a bit dry and turned it into something I could easily grasp.
