Draw This App for iPad app review
Draw This App
Price: Free
Draw This App by Peter Hamilton gives you that extra bit of help you need to learn how to draw.
Who said that drawing isn't an art that can be taught and learned? With this app your iPad can act as your own personal drawing teacher and coach that will help you improve your drawing skills. The way the app works is by using metrics to track your progress. By doing this it is able to provide the proper challenge to you. Much like learning how to write cursive this app employs the same basic technique.
Features of this app include an easy-to-follow break down of any involved item you need to draw, the ability to draw with your right and left hands, and a system that tracks the number of attempts the picture takes you and the metrics of accuracy.
The guidance system is meant to help focus the eye so you can properly pay attention. There are six units in this first version of the app with the hope of building an entire library eventually.
In order to keep this app feeling fresh and new there are four different modes you can use.
Draw This App was released on Apr. 26, 2013 and currently has 64 customer ratings with an average rating of three and a half out of five stars.
There seems to be some kinks still that need to be worked out of this app, that and the fact the library still needs to grow. Besides these issues though this is a pretty fun and challenging app that actually can start to improve your drawing skills over time.
For: iPad with iOS 6.1 or later
