Rain, Rain by Tim Gostony is meant for those who have trouble falling asleep and then getting a restful sleep.

Whether you constantly have problems falling asleep or you just find it takes longer than normal some nights, this app can help you. You'll be lulled to sleep with endless water, rain, and a variety of other sounds. What's great is that there is a sleep timer that fades out the sound slowly after the preset time has run out.

Some of the sounds you'll be able to listen to include rain such as forest rain, summer rain, and city rain. The water sounds include an ocean pier, slow stream, and outdoor fountain. There are also blizzard and desert winds. And oddly enough, certain appliance sounds can be relaxing such as the sound of a clothes dryer, dishwasher, and alarm clock ticking. In total you'll have 20 sounds to choose from.

Additional features include dock playback support, the ability to play in the background, AirPlay support, remote control support, and you can use the hardware buttons to adjust the volume. The fade-out stop feature is especially nice so the app doesn't suddenly just shut off the sound jarring you back awake.

Whether you have problems nodding off on a regular basis or you’re just looking for a great way to be lulled to sleep this is an easy app to use. I liked the variety of sounds and the fact you could program it to turn off after a specified duration.
