In Over, all you have to do is select your photo, add text, edit the text to the color and font style you like, and save. It’s that easy! I like making my own little creations for getting my message across, and this app allows me to do so with ease and looks great too! I had been using editing apps that create square images, but what’s nice about this one allows you to create the meme on the original photo dimensions, so you can even print them at the photo developer.

When you open up the app, you are first instructed to choose your photo. I didn’t show this step because you’d see my whole photo library, but the next step is to choose your font color. I chose purple to match my daughter’s shirt. Once you chose your color, you type in your message, whether that’s your own phrase, or a special quote that the photo represents to you, it is up to you to create!

Sized to Print

As mentioned above, Over allows you to create memes that are the size of your photo so that you can still print your photo with the added text. This is a great feature, because without printing, if your hard drive crashes, then you’ll have lost all your photos. I always suggest people back up their photos in at least two places, and if you can afford an online subscription to back up your computer, absolutely do it so that you won’t lose you data, but more importantly your memories.

There is still something to say for flipping through a photo album though. The physical print out, the sitting on a couch with your children around you reminiscing, it is a wonderful feeling. Because this app allows you to print out photos that are fit to 4x6, I really enjoy it. It allows me to create covers, boundaries, chapter dividers, and more!
