Bato app review
Bato
Price: Free
For: iPad with iOS 4.3 or later
Bato by the Nevosoft is a Tibetan board game app that will teach you skills in becoming a Master.
In the game, you’ve graduated from the Bato Academy long in the past. You decide to go to the gaming tables in order to win some money and show off your skills. An old man notices you and he inspires you to better yourself and win even more money.
You’ll be watched as you perform to make sure you stand up to the tests. You’ll have to play in the dark and deal with challenges like insects, black clouds, and more. Your goal is to get closer to and then conquer the gold-filled secret cave.
There are tons of different obstacles and stones to gather. The music is Tibetan ethnic music, which is quite relaxing. The game offers increasing complexity and decent graphics. This is a fun app because it’s not your typical board game; the story line of the supernatural and the mysterious helps add a spin.
There are more than 70 levels that you must beat; as you move on they get harder. At the end, you’ll move on in the bonus level. If you pass that you’ll find the location of the hidden treasure.
To play, use your finger to flick same-colored stones together; they will disappear from the board. Don’t think it will be easy, though, since the obstacles are placed in a way as to prevent you from clearing the board. The stones will travel across the board depending on how fast you flick your finger.
The game was updated to Version 1.1 on November 15, 2012. It has a total of 30 ratings with an average of five out of five stars. This is a free game but there are several in-app purchases you can make.
