The Retromatic app by Peta Vision will let you turn your photos into amazing retro-style posters.

You can use one of 17 retro-style filters, 30 ornaments, and 11 background images to create a poster reminiscent of the early 20^th century. Use the app to create a custom look with your choice of the ornaments, vintage effects and graphic themes.

To make your poster, take a photo or choose a photo from your Camera Roll. Highlight the outline of the person or object, and then choose your graphic theme (wallpaper) and your favorite color. Next, choose the filter you want to apply, and add any ornaments you think will look good. Resize the ornaments until they suit your poster perfectly. You can input and/or edit text or change the color, too. Finally, you can save it or share it to any social network site.

The 30 ornaments are all editable, with 10 different colors you can use. The themes have 17 different colors, so you’re certain to be able to create something totally unique and customized just for you. The app supports high-res image (1280x1248) and Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, and Facebook.

The developer promises to continuously update effects and objects.

The app was updated to Version 1.1 on November 28, 2012. The update added the social gallery and auto edge refinement. Retromatic is available in English only. It has 112 ratings with an average of four out of five stars. Feedback comments are overwhelmingly positive.
