Shopping List / Grocery List app review: always have your list handy

Reviews

Introduction

If you're tired of over-spending at the grocery store, buying items you don't even need, or forgetting what it was you went for, then you could benefit from a grocery list. The Shopping List / Grocery List app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone gives users the ability to make lists complete with sections and categories that make shopping a breeze. This one isn't your average list making tool however though this one has been made for those with an appreciation of design.

Start Your List

Creating a shopping list has never been easier whether it's for groceries or other items thanks to the Shopping List / Grocery List app. There are 17 different categories you can use and then you can arrange the sections how you please so that it makes sense while you're in the store. This app is meant to look like an actual list on a piece of paper and you are using a pencil to jot the items down. You can tap on the pencil to start writing and there is an eraser if you make any mistakes. You can add in the quantities of items, the price, and more.

The app requires iOS 6.0 and later to use and currently has 3.5 out of five stars from users. Customers seem to like the user interface and look of the app. In its last update there were some small bug fixes and performance improvements. There are no in-app purchases necessary.

The User Experience

The Shopping List / Grocery List app is meant to give users a scaled-down option to creating lists but it seems that this one is missing the mark a bit. Despite the design it still comes off a bit confusing and convoluted. It would be nice if the user interface has some more improvements made. Some of the options in this app include being able to sort and arrange items on the list, copy and delete the positions, mark off items as to do or done, delete them, edit them, and erase them. If you shake the device the entire list will be reset or deleted.

The app supports the iCloud and lists can be shared by SMS/iMessage, email, and it can be printed because it supports AirPrint. The app also supports DropBox. If you want to enjoy a more personalized look then you can change the background design.
