Meritum Paint by Meritum Soft is a painting app for your iOS device.

This app is easy to use and will let you create fabulous creations of art unlike any other app available in the App Store.

When you first launch the app, you’ll see two rows of icons: one at the top of the page and one at the bottom. Along the top, you have News, Speed Painting, Social, Store, and Help. Along the bottom row you have New, Share, Save, and Delete.

Click on New to start a new painting and you can choose a black canvas, a white canvas, or pick your canvas color. You can import an image, take a photo, or cancel. Once you choose your canvas color, you can choose your color and brush thickness.

If you leave the default setting, every time you tap the page you’ll get a different color.

When you’re back on your canvas, you can use your finger to swipe and paint. The default setting gives you a feathery, sweeping painting with rich, vibrant colors.

Once you create your masterpiece, you can save it and post it from your Camera Roll to your choice of social network site, or post it directly to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, or email. You can also send it to your printer.

The Meritum Paint app was updated to Version 2.1.2 on November 12, 2012. The update added a new brush and Super Color Mode. The app has a total of 10374 customer ratings with an average of 3.5 stars, while the current version has 89 ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars.

The very organic, unguided style will appeal to those people who don’t mind randomness. The user interface is a little strange but the mysterious quality of the resulting pieces is worth it.
