Keep Track of Your Many To-Dos

QUEST takes your to-do list and turns it into a fun game. As you complete your tasks, you earn points towards your character. I completed my four tasks for the day and I earned a new sword and shield. You can also earn clothes and hair as you go on. This turns completing your to-list into a fun game to play. I like this approach, because some people simply need extra motivation for getting their tasks done. I can see this helping kids, teens, and anyone who needs a bit of an extra push.

Due to QUEST being a mini-game, I can see people adding more and more tasks to their list just to be able to earn points. For myself, I added in drinking my water as I’m working on drinking more water and less juice and soda. By adding them to my to-do list, not only am I reminded to do so, but I’m also earning points to customize my character!

Gesture-Based Actions

QUEST does take a bit of time to learn how to use. The app is gesture-based, so you tap the sky to check and change the list category. If you pull down in the sky, you can create a new list, or if you pull down within a list you create a new item. Then sliding right completes the category, and left deletes the category. If you want to change the order, you can drag and drop. Additionally, once you’ve completed some tasks, you can tap the ground to view your completed log. In the log, you slide right to delete items, which is a bit confusing. I don’t know why they didn’t keep it with sliding left.

As far as reminder options go though, you can set it for once, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. You can also set it for a specific time so that the app will remind you. I also like that it appears in your widget area so you can easily check what you have to get done.

QUEST : Level up your life is a fun iPhone and iPad app that allows you to use complete your to-do list and level-up an avatar at the same time. As you complete your tasks, you earn armor and weapons, and it’s just plain fun to watch! Each task you conquer an enemy and earn a gem towards your points and levels. I have been enjoying playing with this to-do list myself, and have showed it to many people since downloading it.
