Introduction
There are a lot of expensive photo editing apps in the App Store and as a rule you get what you pay for. If you want an iPhone photo editing app that works well with a lot of options you’re going to have to pay for it.
The best iPhone apps for photo editing
At least that’s the conventional theory, but like anything else there’s always an upstart that wants to challenge conventional wisdom.
The Knockout - Professional Grade Photo Cutout app offers some great photo editing tools and it’s completely free. This app is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
It's so easy and quick to edit photos using this app. For more details on this process and all that this photo editing tool has to offer, check out our Photo Cutout app review. It might just be one of the best photo editor apps for iPhone.
Professional Photo Editing
There is no shortage of photo editing apps in the App Store; some are free and some are not. The free apps often do one or two simple editing tasks reasonably well but they’re not usually very versatile.
Best iphone and ipad apps
It’s rare to find a free photo editing app that has a comprehensive set of tools for creating great photo creations. The Knockout - Professional Grade Photo Cutout app is the exception to the rule. This app has a great set of tools that will help you to create excellent photo memories that will last a lifetime.
This app is far from perfect though, while there are no ads to speak of it still has its fair share of pop ups. Every time you attempt to open a new photo you are bombarded with requests to rate the app on the App Store.
The other thing that I found quite puzzling was that when you try to add text overlays on your photos there doesn’t seem to be anyway to save your work and move on. If there’s a trick to it, it certainly isn’t obvious. This app will require 53.9 MB of available space on your iOS device.
How it Works
When you first open the app you’ll notice the screen is divided into three main sections: Sticker, Background, and Background category.
To get started you need to pick a background, in this free version there are three different categories to choose from: you can unlock several more through an in-app purchase from the App Store.
If you want to unlock one of the new categories it will cost $0.99 and if you want to unlock all the categories it will cost $2.99.
Once you’ve selected your category you can select your background from several different photos. There are some pretty decent pictures to choose from and you can also use one of your own pictures as well by selecting the blend feature on the bottom menu.
This is a cool feature but there really is no explanation of how to do this so I had to figure it out through good old fashioned trial and error. The other cool feature you’ll also find on this bottom menu is the cutout feature.
This tool allows you to take any picture and cut whatever piece of that picture you want out of it and this then gets saved in the sticker section. If you like you can add one of these stickers to any background to create a new combined picture. This all works pretty well, although it does freeze on occasion.

Final Words
The Knockout - Professional Grade Photo Cutout app has some pretty powerful features that you would normally expect to find in a paid app. There are some issues with this app though which can be a little frustrating. It’s still decent for a free app.
