MilliTalk by Millicorp is an app that allows you to make inexpensive (or free) worldwide calls and texts using your iOS device.

When you use MilliTalk to make texts or phone calls, you’ll save money  - over 90% - compared to the same calls with your cell phone provider. The app promises totally clear calls and any texts or calls to other MilliTalk members are totally free.

You’ll use your Wi-Fi or other data connection to make your call. Even if you don’t have cell service, you can make the call as long as you have Internet.

In addition to the texting and calling service, you also have use of a search function so you can find any text message sent through MilliTalk. You can search by date or by keyword. You can also email a text conversation, listen to, see, and email voice messages, and add a line to your iPhone.

Signing up is quick and easy on-app. You buy calling credits through iTunes (in-app purchase), ranging from $4.99 for $5 of calling credits, to $139.99 for MilliTalk Unlimited.

MilliTalk was updated to Version 3.4.1 on November 21, 2012. The update made some bug fixes, improved Contact Views, and fixed the launch screen. The app has a total of 1071 ratings with an average of four out of five stars.

I made one call using the app and it was totally clear. I’ll definitely be using this app more in the future – why pay for long distance rates to my carrier when I can call other MilliTalk users for free?
