Crazy Tiles World app review: mind-bending fun with tiles

Reviews

Introduction

The great thing about App Store games is that just when you think you’ve seen everything that developers can come up with, someone comes up with a concept that’s completely new and refreshing. When you think about innovative new games that have come out of the App Store, games like Angry Birds, Temple Run, and Flappy Birds might come to mind. All of these games were highly popular and introduced something entirely new and addictive to the iOS system. If you’re looking for the next big thing you may want to check out Crazy Tiles World. This is a highly addictive and fun game that will keep you entertained for hours. This is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Nonstop Tile Action

There are some key factors that make a game a success: it needs to be fun, it needs to be addictive, it needs to be challenging, and it needs to be innovative, but it also needs to be winnable. Most of us will lose interest in a game very quickly if we never make any progress so this last one is really critical. Crazy Tiles World does a great job of taking all of these aspects into account.  If you download one new game this year this should be that game: it’s that good.

Almost every app has one or two drawbacks and Crazy Tiles World is no exception. This app has ads in abundance; in fact, you’ll have to navigate past them after every game. These are full-paged ads that you can’t avoid, but they are easily closed by clicking on the X in the top right corner so they’re not too obtrusive. Other than that there isn’t really anything wrong with Crazy Tiles World. This app will require 5.8 Mb of available space on your iOS device.

How to Play

Crazy Tiles World seems like a pretty simple game to play... at least it starts off that way. As the games progresses it quickly becomes more challenging. Essentially the board is divided into three different types of tiles: white tiles, colored tiles, and joker tiles. Once you hit play the tile board will begin scrolling down the screen and you have to tap on each colored tile and joker tile before it crosses the bottom of the screen. It sounds pretty simple, but it isn’t.

What makes Crazy Tiles World a challenge is the constantly changing gameplay; not only does it continue to speed up the longer you last, but it also throws out new and different challenges all the time. The source of these constantly changing challenges is the joker tiles. These tiles sometimes reverse the game play so that the tiles start flowing towards the top of the screen, at other times they may slow down or speed up the game, and at other times they may simply insert a tile that has to be tapped more than once. This constantly changing gameplay really creates an addictive atmosphere that’s hard to walk away from. There’s also Game Center integration as well so that you can compare how you’re doing against others around the world as well.
