Baby Feeder app review: making life easier for new moms

Reviews

Introduction

The life of a new mom is exciting and wonderful of course but it's also busy, stressful, and quite tiring and with all of that going on it can be easy to get mixed up where feeds are concerned. The Baby Feeder app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone has been created to help moms keep track of their baby's feeds so they don't have to do all the remembering. Obviously this can come in handy when mom is only running on a couple of hours of sleep each night.

Tools that Help

The Baby Feeder app has been designed to be quick and simple to use so that it doesn’t add to the stress of a new mom. Instead you’ll be able to work your way around this app and take advantage of its tools and features right away. The main goal of the app is to keep track of your baby's feeding schedule. This app can be used for those using expressed milk, formula, and/or breastfeeding. It’s versatile and multi-functional, exactly what a new mom needs.

This one is free to use and requires iOS 6.0 or later. In its most recent update, which was just over a year ago, there was a small bug fix, instructions were included, and the data is now saved right to your mobile device. As of right now the app doesn't have any customer ratings or any customer comments.

Examining the Tools

While the Baby Feeder doesn't offer an overload of tools what it does offer is extremely useful. The app is set up like a log so you can log the ml for each feed, what kind of feed it was (expressed milk, formula, breastfeeding, or a combination), the duration of the feed, the date, and the time. If you are breastfeeding you can also keep track of which breast was used for the feed. The app will keep the information for a seven day time period, which also allows you to go back and view previous days. This can come in handy for doctor appointments.

As far as logging the feeds when you start you press the start button and when you finish you tap on the stop button. You can also set up timers so you know when it's time to feed the baby next thanks to the alert you will be sent.
