Starbucks by Starbucks Coffee Company is the official app for your iOS device.

This app lets you pay for your Starbucks using your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. It also allows you to add your Starbucks Card to Passbook on your device.

When you have Starbucks installed, you can load funds to your card, send an eGift, check your Starbucks Card balance, and track your Stars. You may also find nearby stores, search by what’s on offer, and hare your favorite concoctions or location through Twitter or Facebook.

The app offers you the opportunity to learn about Starbucks’ different coffee beans, nutritional info for different drinks or foods, and build your perfect drink. You can look at menus, view store hours, and use filters to search for or eliminate foods and drinks according to your needs and interests.

You can use the app at any of the 6,800 company-based Starbucks or the 2,000 Safeway and Target locations.

If you set your preferences you can receive messages to your inbox and receive special offers and notifications.

The Starbucks app was updated to Version 2.5.3 on December 4, 2012. The update added support for iPhone 5, made performance improvements and bug fixes, and addressed a problem with Touch to Pay button use.

I am a big fan of Starbucks and love this app. It’s great that they’ve finally added the ability to add my Starbucks Card to Passbook! Now, Passbook opens whenever I’m in one of the Starbucks stores I’ve set to my favorites. Anyone who uses a Starbucks Card should get this app.
