EyeGames by A & J Apps is one of the most complete apps available for finding quick, complete, and relevant overviews of all your favorite video games on a wide range of different platforms. All the popular platforms are included such as Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but it also includes overviews of games on some of the classic systems such as Atari 2600, Intellivision, and Colecovision – what a blast from the past! If you love gaming in all of its different incarnations you have to have this app. EyeGames is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
The gaming industry has become a behemoth that rivals the music and movie industry. There’s so much content to choose from it’s hard to keep track of it all, and it’s difficult to figure out which games really have the most appeal based on your own unique set of preferences. That’s where a site like EyeGames comes in. With the overview section being constantly updated to include any new releases this app was developed with the purpose of becoming the go to place for video game enthusiasts to learn all they need to know about any video game they’re considering purchasing.
There isn’t much to criticize of this app – they’ve thought of just about everything. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no annoying pop-ups constantly trying to get you to rate their app. There isn’t any kind of help section or tutorial section but it isn’t necessary. Navigating this app is a breeze, with quite a few different options for filtering overviews to find content that’s relevant to you. EyeGames app will require 3.3 MB of available space on your IOS device.
When you open the app, by default, you’ll be viewing all overviews for every platform available. If you want to limit it to the platforms, all you have to do is tap on the game controller icon in the top right corner of the app which will take you to a list of all the platforms that EyeGames does overviews for and then you can deselect the ones you don’t want to see. It’s pretty simple to use and the interface is well thought out.
Every overview contains a rating out of 10 and you can have your say by tapping on rate, moving the slider to your desired rating and hitting done – it’s as simple as that. There’s also an option for sharing the review on Facebook and Twitter, and there’s a link to a YouTube preview for any newer game. Each game also includes a well written write up emphasizing some of the major features of the game and what to look for when you start playing. It’s too bad they aren’t a little more critical though, no game’s perfect and it would be nice to know what the issues are so that you can make a more informed decision when purchasing.
